College Planning-What Are My Interests?

This week on our Facebook Live video, we continued our College Planning series talking about your interests and how this can relate to your college plans (which school to go to, which major to choose). Part of making this important decision is really knowing yourself, your personality, and your interests well. Think of this like a tree: those roots (personality, interests, strengths, values) need to be strong in order for the other branches to grow (college, major, career). This website can help you determine your interests based on John Holland’s six personality types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. It also can help you look at common career paths that are common for different interests.
